It's Fall and it's looking good!

Dear Blog,

So, It's a Saturday morning and I am sitting at work while the guys still sleep. I've hadn't written to you in awhile, so, let me catch you up on things. I am happy to say that the Owlz are Pioneer Champions! Game 1 was played in Orem and they lost. I was sad, but still hopeful they could pull it off. Then, I went home to Page, Arizona. I love Lake Powell, I miss it a lot, but I hate the drive down to Page...SO Long and Boring!!! While at home, I only got to visit my nephew for a couple of hours and it was fun! While visiting family, I participated in a Golf Tournament for the Boy Scouts. It was fun, but I golfed horribly and the heat got the best of me. Besides my golf score being the worst part of the trip, My Mom. I love her! She made Navajo Tacos and I loved it! My mom takes good care of me :)Now that I am back in Provo, I've been busy working with IHS and studying for both my last History class and the LSAT. I am a little nervous about the LSAT, It's such a huge test and this could determined my fate in Law School, hopefully it goes the way I want it. Today, is an exciting day, let me tell you why? OK, I have tickets to the BYU game and they play Colorado St. I am looking forward to it, because I miss the atmosphere of a live football games; Hot Dogs, the noise of the crowd and the game. I Love it! Well, this is it, I am glad to write you this letter. I will continue to write as long as I remember too. Later, Dude!

School!

It's been a week and let me tell you. It is so tough! lol. Not really, but I forgot how stressful and hard it was. I am glad to be working and teaming up with Dave. I just wish it was the weekend already. However, It doesn't help to be working at chrysalis still and put in a full time shift, but that will soon go down. I have been sick also, but it was Hay-fever. I hate being allergic to whatever is in the air and then I break out with runny noises, scratchy eyes and of course my favorite...Headaches! I am looking forward to Labor Day, so far I have options, but not sure what to do, but I am looking forward to the break. I finally get an afternoon off tomorrow and I will take that time to go shopping for new clothes. I am really tired and I don't know if I have ever work 38 hours straight in my life!!! I am kind of impressed, but I am tired. Sleep sounds good. Night!

My Idea of a Playbook.

So, I was reading this book called the Pink Bible and got to thinking of writing a book called The Playbook. This account comes from every single guy and their ways of luring a beautiful girl into a relationship. However, it's more of the pick-up lines and tactics for men to be successful at dating.
Now, Why would I ever think of writing a Playbook? I thought it would be fun, but seeing lately how we live in Utah and the center of Dating, why not? I like the idea because, then maybe someone could read it and see how silly it is or how serious guys can be while dating. I have some ideas for the book, but to give you an
example, here are some do not's of dating.
1. Do Not Kiss her on the first date. Let the girl know you respect her, but you have to be smooth and pull that card later.
2. Please do not ask the girl, are you okay? or any other questions during the date. The girl is going to be turn off with less confident men!
3. Don't scare the girl. In Utah, please don't bring up the topic of marriage, especially for all you RM's. Let the girl bring it up and then you can talk about it.
4. Be active in dating. Be confident in yourself! Let the girl know that you are serious about dating, and whoever it may be, there is no such thing as an Unreachable girl!
5. Love yourself! you can't love anyone until you love yourself.
These are some of the things I might put into a book, but in all honesty, dating can be fun. It all depends on your attitude and actions. No girl is unreachable, trust in yourself!

ScottPete Comeback!!!!

I really should be sleeping, but it's hard to sleep when you are sore. So, that is why I am blogging about Scott Pete. Let me tell you about Scott Pete, he is pretty much the only friend I have left, that's not true, but he is not married. Yet. I love this guy a lot and he is a fun guy to go on road trips. But, this is more of a petition to Scott Pete to come back to the blogging world and just write.
Scott Pete is the only man to tell it how it is, no sugar coating or anything, straight forward and to the point. His blog brought hope into my life, knowing that every single time he went on a date, he blogged about it. I also liked the Uke and his many musical skills played on the blogspot. What happened to Scott Pete? So, for many of you Scott Pete followers, lets leave a comment on this Post and show that Scott Pete needs to come back to blogging and share with us his life.

On My Mind!

A lot has happened and a lot is on my mind. So, to run things down, let me tell you all that is on my mind. 1. I don't blog enough, as I read a lot of blogs, I am the last person to be consistent with it. However, I also can look at it as a good thing, because I am actually out doing something rather behind the computer. 2. Weddings, yes, Weddings. Nuff said! This whole summer has been one wedding after another, when will it stop? At a positive view, I am blessed to have so many friends, but seriously, why did you all wait till the Summer of 2009 to get married? I don't get it, but then again, I may never will, which I am fine with. 3. Felicia Day, okay, My friend suggested I watch Dr. Horrible Sing-A-long-Blog and of course there are some characters I recognize. One being Neil Patrick Harris and the other guy lol, But Felicia Day. She is awesome, check her out on her YouTube hit The Guild and also watch Dr. Horrible blog. 4. Law School, I have been asked by many people where I want to go to Law School. If you asked me last year, I would have said anywhere. But, as of late, I really can't answer that question. Why? I have no idea. I might have to go visit law schools around the country this year, I have already been to Columbia Law, BYU, UofA, UofU, UCLA, Stanford and University of Chicago. But lately, I don't have any clue as to where I would like to study. I might have to seriously investigate a school and stick with it. LSAT are coming up in December. And finally number 5. my blogs. I re-read all of my blogs and quite surprise I am still writing on here lol. I forgot how I always had a topic in mind and just wrote how I felt about it. I will bring that up again, some of the future topics will be, Scott Pete 2. My life and 3. The future lol. I made those up, but it's always fun to write about stuff, especially stuff that is on the mind. Check you all later. Excuse the horrible grammer.

California Trip!

So yeah, I thought I should post this and show some pictures of a weekend trip to California. I might not be in any of it, but trust me, I took the pictures. We (Travis, Ryan and Myself) left for California Thursday and it was to celebrate our boy Ryan's bachelor party. Keep in mind, I was told by a little Miss. Someone that I can't 1. Get Drunk or was it I couldn't drink? and 2. No Strip clubs. So this was hard, but we made it work.
Thursday we drove forever to get to California, but it didn't help waiting for Ryan to get off of work. Travis and I decided to play blackjack and it was fun, made $40. Then we arrived in Ca.
Friday was a busy day. First we went to Hollywood and went site-seeing. Check the photos.

That's right, and then we saw a Sand trooper and Nacho Libre in the streets.
Then we walked on the side walks and saw stars on the bottom of our feet, this one is of the late Michael Jackson. Everyone was there to see it and everyone was crying. RIP Mike, you have some awesome songs!
So then we went to Santa Monica and hung out by the beach. We had Bubba Gump shrimp and it was huge! Just like Bubba said in the movie, all sorts of shrimp in da house. Then I had to take some pictures and you have to see it. Check it. Also the black brotha jumped over 5 guys and that jump was amazing, I don't know why I did not record it. Oh well.

Then It was Saturday. Let me tell you, Torrey Pines is a nice golf course and I am sure it would be nice on any other day except Saturday. Let me explain, There was a Junior National Championship tournament going on...We were rushed right after another and another...And well, I sucked it up big time on the back 9. By the time I got done, I was like, Tiger Woods ain't got nothing on me! Next year, we are doing Pebble Beach in February, Save up the $$$$. Here are some pics of Torrey Pines. The old white man who is golfing is my Grandpa Dunn. He is a Stud! He beat us.

Then afterwards we drove along the La Jolla coast and checked out La Jolla Coves. Afterwards we went to the Gas lamp District in San Diego. I should have taken pictures of that place, it was happening that night! However It was a fun night. Well I know I left some stuff out cause well, you should have been there to experience it. It was fun! Fun trip with the guys.

Pray Always!

I never imagine myself writing anything spiritual or personal on the Blogger, but I have been thinking as of late, Why don't I pray? I know I have been very awful at it and when I do pray, it is short and quick. I just wanted to share how a simple lesson in Institute made me realize I needed to pray.

First, the teacher asked me, how often do I call my parents? I answered to myself, not very often or never. Then the teacher asked, who would you call for help? I then thought of a few people. Then the teacher asked, who will always be there for you? I know this question, but we are not talking about God yet. So, I remember an experience when I was devastated and heart-broken, I remember not thinking right and just would not stop crying. I had a hard night that night and I called my Mom. My Mom, answered the phone call and knew something was wrong. I love her for this, she drove 8 hours through the early morning so she could be with me. When the teacher asked me those questions, I thought of my Mom.

Now the teacher uses Heavenly Father to tie the lesson in, we read in the Book of Enos in the Book of Mormon. Enos, as we all know, prayed all day to his father in heaven. While hunting and his soul hungered, Enos cried unto the Lord in a mighty prayer. The Lord listened and forgave Enos.
How do we pray? I have not been the best at praying, I know I can do so much better, but there are ways we can offer a sincere prayer. The five A's is what the teacher said, those 5 A's are:

1. Alone. We must pray alone and use that time to offer a prayer.
2. Aloud. This is what struck me the most, I have never thought to pray aloud to the lord, the teacher said, if we pray silently we tend to lose focus or get distracted. See Doctrine and Cov. 19:28
3. Always. Pray always, when Enos was praying he was praying all day. The lord in 3rd Nephi 18:15-21, tells us that we must pray always, lest we be tempted by the devil. The Devil is smart and knows us very well. In 2nephi 26:22 "he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord." Always pray so we must also resist the work of the Devil.
4. Abide. Another word for Abide is to wait. Wait to listen after we pray. Elder Boyd K. Packer had an experience were he was praying and while visitig a Mission, an Elder excused himself and apologized to the President. Elder Packer told the young Missionary, I was not praying, I was listening.
5. Answers. I love this part of the A's, The lord promises us answeres if we are sincere, here are some examples of how the lord manifests unto us. In Doctrine and Cov. 85: 6, we to be "still, a small voice which whispereth through and pierceth all things." Then we go to D&C 8:2, he will give us 2 witnesses that these things are true, in your "mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost..."

Like I have said before, I never write anything spiritual, but for the first time I have and I wanted to share this to any of those who are wanting to pray but can't or have trouble recognizing the spirit. I know one thing, God loves us to pray. He wants to know how we are doing and just like any conversation with our parents, he will listen to us and help us if he needs too. I love my father-in-heaven, he is a stud! Just like my earthly parents, God loves us. God Bless and Pray Always!
